Spanish guard Isaac Nogues has officially signed a two-year contract with Valencia Basket, returning to play professionally in his home country, the team confirmed in a press release.

Nogues, 21, spent last season in the NBA G League with the Rip City Remix, the Portland Trail Blazers’ affiliate. He appeared in 40 games during the 2024/25 campaign, averaging 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.1 steals across 21.1 minutes per contest.

Though his offensive output was modest, the 6’5″ guard – boasting a 6’10” wingspan – stood out on the defensive end, earning a spot on the NBAGL All-Defensive Team and finishing third in Defensive Player of the Year voting.

His move to Valencia is especially noteworthy because earlier reports in June suggested Nogues had reached an agreement with the Sacramento Kings on an Exhibit 10 contract, potentially giving him the chance to fight for a two-way roster spot this fall.

However, that deal was never finalized, and with Valencia offering both stability and a more immediate opportunity for playing time, Nogues has opted to return to Europe instead.

The signing also marks something of a homecoming. Valencia is located only a few hours from Badalona, the city where Nogues was born and where he began his professional basketball career before making the jump to the United States.

With this move, he will not only compete in the Spanish ACB League but also on the EuroLeague stage, positioning himself to continue developing against top-tier competition in Europe.
