Shankland started and scored the winning goal, from the penalty spot, in the club's 1-0 win away at Aberdeen in the Premiership on Sunday, but he has not had an impressive start to life in Glasgow since his move from Hearts.
The Scotland international is yet to score a goal from open play in a Gers shirt, scoring two penalties in eight matches in all competitions, and has only started one of the last four games.
Naderi, meanwhile, has scored two goals in seven appearances in all competitions, but he has yet to find the back of the net in the Premiership, and has only scored once in the league since his January switch from Hansa Rostock.

The two Rangers strikers have both struggled in duels in the Premiership, to go along with their struggles at the top end of the pitch, and that is one of the reasons why Kelsy looks primed to be McInnes' first-choice.

Kelsy, therefore, could arrive at Ibrox as an immediate starting option because of the physicality that he brings to the striker position, as well as his ability to score goals regularly and finish his chances efficiently.

A new striker may not be the last piece of business done by the club before the deadline, though, as they are also looking at a player who could be a dream partner for Kelsy in the final third.
Turkish journalist Dogukan Yildirim has revealed that Glasgow Rangers are still pursuing a deal to sign Besiktas winger Vaclav Cerny before the end of the summer transfer window.
The reporter has told Ibrox News that the two clubs are currently in negotiations over a possible move for the Czechia international, who spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Rangers from Wolfsburg.
He added that the Super Lig side are demanding a fee of £8.5m for the left-footed forward, but noted that a deal could be agreed for less than that, suggesting that there may be a difference of up to £1.7m.
The Gers are in the market to add another left-footed right winger to compete with Daisuke Yokota and Cerny would be the perfect signing, because of his prior experience with the club.
Rangers already know that the 28-year-old star can deliver consistent performances in the Premiership, as he was a terrific player for Philippe Clement and Barry Ferguson during his time at Ibrox.

Cerny's creativity was not rewarded as much as it should have been in his season in the Premiership, though, as he only recorded four assists from 8.41 xG.
Playing alongside a striker like Kelsy, who has scored 19 goals from 15.23 xG since the start of 2025, could ensure that the winger is properly rewarded for the creativity that he offers on the flank.
Cerny's creativity was also on display in the Super Lig for Besiktas in the 2025/26 campaign, as he created seven 'big chances' and registered eight assists in 25 starts for the Turkish giants.
He is a creative and forward-thinking winger who wants to constantly make things happen in the final third, which is why Kelsy would love him as a teammate if both players are brought in before the deadline.
The £9m-rated striker would not have to worry about a lack of service in the box if he plays alongside Cerny, because the forward has proven that he can create high-quality chances on a consistent basis.
