The Miami Heat have signed guard Ethan Thompson to an Exhibit 10 contract. Thompson will join Miami for the preseason, then will collect a bonus if he spends at least 60 days with the Heat's G League team this season.

Thompson spent part of last season with the Orlando Magic on a two-way contract but did not appear in an NBA game. In 47 G League games, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard averaged 17.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.1 steals. Thompson shot 39.8% on 8.2 three-point attempts per game.
