Head coach Jordan Ott confirmed on Tuesday that Jalen Green will not be available for the Phoenix Suns’ season opener due to a hamstring issue.
Green initially sustained what was described as a “low-grade hamstring strain” during training camp, but the injury worsened when the team traveled to China earlier this month.
Ott added that Green will be re-evaluated in ten days to determine his recovery progress and potential return timeline.
The Suns are set to begin their regular season schedule against the Sacramento Kings on October 22, but they’ll have to do so without Green in the lineup as he continues his rehab.
