Francis Ngannou has something to say about Dana White’s latest dismissal of a potential UFC return for “The Predator.”
Ngannou’s name was mentioned during a recent edition of “Nightcap.” White was asked if there is a chance Ngannou could be offered a fight against Jon Jones, which is a heavyweight clash that never happened due to “The Predator’s” UFC exit back in early 2023. White dismissed the idea and called Ngannou a “bad guy.”
The former UFC heavyweight titleholder responded in a post on his X account, and he thinks White needs to accept that he didn’t present the best offer.
Saying the guy that I spent over three years and a lot of money in law firms building an escape plan to get away from, meanwhile he was doing everything in his power to ensure I was never free.🙄
You have to take that loss; it is irreversible.😎✌🏽 https://t.co/9JCZU0Mxzt

White went as far as to admit on “BigBoyTV” that he wanted Ngannou to lose against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 back in early 2022. Ngannou ended up winning that fight via unanimous decision, and it was his final bout under the UFC banner.
The current state of the UFC heavyweight division is in question. Tom Aspinall’s return doesn’t appear to be imminent, and Gane is the current interim titleholder. Former light heavyweight and middleweight champion Alex Pereira has called for a rematch against Gane, but notable names, such as Henry Cejudo have been critical of the idea.
As for Ngannou, he’s coming off a first-round knockout win over Philipe Lins on the MVP MMA 1 card. This was a one-fight deal for Ngannou and time will tell if the two sides will continue doing business amid the PFL merger. Ngannou and PFL parted ways back in March.
