UFC featherweight Aaron Pico has given his two cents on how Movsar Evloev can beat Alexander Volkanovski.

Evloev is going to challenge the current and two-time featherweight titleholder Volkanovski later this month at UFC 333. The Russian fighter plans to finish “The Great,” which would also mark his first finish inside the octagon.

Volkanovski, on the other hand, believes that although the undefeated Evloev might take him down, he won’t be able to control him, and there will come a time during the fight when even Evloev’s “arms are going to be burning,” and that’s exactly when the latter will “panic punch” and be forced to fight a fight he doesn’t want. Volkanovski also believes he can finish Evloev at UFC 333.

Aaron Pico highlights the only way Movsar Evloev can beat Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 333

According to Aaron Pico, the only way Movsar Evloev can dethrone Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 333 is by knocking out “The Great.”

The 30-year-old, during an interview with Full Mount MMA, also added that even though Evloev can take the Aussie down, it will be very hard to hold him down, as even Dagestani wrestling maestro Islam Makhachev had a hard time controlling Volkanovski when they locked horns. Pico said:

“For me, I believe that in order for Movsar to win this fight, he has to knock him [Alexander Volkanovski] out. It’s not as easy to hold Volkanovski down. He fought Islam Makhachev, and Islam had a hard time taking him down and holding him down. I think Movsar can take him down, but the problem is holding him down. Volkanovski is gonna be up to his feet. He is gonna be moving in, out, making reads on Movsar on the feet.”
