Liv Cycling just dropped its first-ever youth-focused drop-bar bike, and it’s not just another scaled-down adult frame. The new Liv Seek is purpose-built to meet young riders where they are, and take them far beyond where they thought they could go.

Designed with the same attention to performance, fit, and ride quality as Liv’s adult lineup, the Seek marks a bold step into the junior gravel and road scene. It’s not just about shrinking the bike. It’s about giving young girls real tools to chase real goals, whether that’s racing, exploring gravel backroads, or simply discovering what’s beyond the local loop. The fit and function of the bike is top priority.

Liv Seek – A Grow Into – Not Out of Bike

The Seek uses Liv’s proprietary ALUXX-grade aluminum frame paired with an Advanced-grade carbon fork. Giving the canvas solid bones that balance weight, durability, and comfort.

The geometry is youth-optimized (more on that later) and wrapped around 650b wheels, making the handling stable yet snappy for riders between 130–150cm (4’3”- 4’11”) in height. It’s designed to grow with the rider, offering that “just right” fit across several years of progression.

Liv didn’t cut corners with the build; they made it ultra kid-friendly. The attention to kid-specific touchpoints is similar to the Giant Faith we reviewed (and received Gear of the Year) last year. The Liv Seek gets shorter cranks, narrower bars, a youth saddle, and easy-reach levers. Providing a comfortable rideability that inspires confidence from the start.

The brakes are hydraulic disc brakes, either Tektro TR-35 or Giant MPH, depending on the model, with a kid-sized reach. The shifting is the all-new (and yet-to-be-announced formally) Microshift/TRP e-shifting. Tire-wise, the Seek has room for 37mm tires, making this a truly capable bike for mixed surfaces.

A Statement, Not a Compromise

“Too often, kids’ bikes are an afterthought when it comes to performance and quality,” said Cassondra Spring, Liv’s Global Marketing lead. “With the Seek, we’re changing that. This bike is a statement: young girls deserve equipment that keeps up with their potential.”

Liv Seek – Models and Pricing

  • Seek 1: The premium build with Giant’s SLR carbon disc wheels, TRP/ Microshift electronic shifting, and performance-focused cockpit spec. Price: $3,899 USD
  • Seek 2: A more accessible build for riders just getting into racing, with the same carbon fork, disc brakes, and tubeless-ready tires to keep pace with rapid progression. Price: $2,199 USD

Liv Seek Geometery

The Liv Seek features youth-specific geometry and touch points to ensure maximum comfort during their ride. The fit included shorter 130mm cranks, a youth-sized saddle, and an easily adjustable seatpost featuring intuitive height markings, allowing the bike to grow with the rider.

The Bigger Picture

Beyond the hardware, the Seek signals Liv’s continued investment in building space for girls in cycling. It’s a tool—but also an invitation. Kids’ drop-bar bikes are hard to find, with fits that are not the best. This new Liv Seek will hopefully inspire more young riders to explore. The Seek is up for pre-order now, and you can do that here, at Liv-cycling.com
