UFC boss Dana White has confirmed the rumors that the promotion will not be re-signing Michael Page to a new contract.
Last weekend at UFC Paris, Michael Page defeated Nursulton Ruziboev to take his overall record with the promotion to 5-1. Unfortunately, despite telling fans that he wanted to give them an exciting performance, MVP wasn’t quite able to accomplish that goal with yet another decision win.

Following that, reports came out earlier this week suggesting that Michael Page is no longer part of the UFC, and that those with the task of ranking him should avoid doing so.
In a post-fight scrum last night, Dana White had the following to say on the Michael Page situation.
White discusses Michael Page’s exit
“That was the last fight on his contract,” White said. “I don’t think we’re re-signing him, no. What’s the confusion? I think it’s been pretty clear he wasn’t being re-signed and that he would be taken out of the rankings because he’s no longer on the roster.”

MVP likely has a handful of interesting options out there for him now, but perhaps one of the leading theories is that he will return to BKFC. His style clearly isn’t suited to the elite level of mixed martial arts at this point in his career (even though he keeps on winning), and there are some fun avenues to go down in bare-knuckle. No matter how you look at it, though, this proved to be a disappointing UFC tenure for a man who had a lot of hype behind him once upon a time.
