UFC featherweight Movsar Evloev is ready to finally try and claim the world title – but fans are still ready to criticize him at every turn.

Movsar Evloev is 10-0 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. While that’s an impressive record, a lot of critics can’t help but notice that he hasn’t actually finished a fight since arriving in the promotion. The victory is all that really matters at the end of the day, but it is certainly one of the reasons why he hasn’t been pushed to a title shot sooner.

For Movsar Evloev, going up against Alexander Volkanovski will easily be the biggest test of his mixed martial arts career thus far. If he’s going to win, you could make a real argument that he needs to stop him via finishes or submission if he’s going to actually make it happen.

In a recent interview, Movsar Evloev spoke candidly about those who talk about his finish record.

“Even if I’m not able to finish him, I will control all the time, and it’s not going to be a boring fight,” Evloev told MMA Junkie of Volkanovski. “People used to say no finish means boring, but I’ve got a lot of fans who love my fights because of wrestling, because of some weird situations. My submission defense is great, and my striking is getting better. Takedowns are good when you understand MMA.

“It’s not just striking where you just strike and you go crazy. You knock him out or he knocks you out, and fans of fighting getting happy by this. I’m not (here) to make them happy. I’m here to be a champion, to be the best in the world, and to make my family happy by my win – not just to show them a good fight, bleeding, hurting people, and maybe win, maybe lose. No, I’m going to win. I’ll do everything needed to win this fight.”
