The Los Angeles Clippers have signed second-round pick Baba Miller to a four-year, $9.61 million contract, giving the Spanish forward the richest overall deal awarded to a second-round selection from the 2026 NBA Draft to date.

NBA insider Michael Scotto reported that the agreement includes two fully guaranteed seasons. Miller was selected with the No. 36 overall pick after completing his senior season at Cincinnati and now becomes one of the first members of the Clippers’ revamped roster to secure a long-term contract.

The financial commitment underscores how highly Los Angeles views Miller despite his second-round draft status. While second-round selections often receive shorter or partially guaranteed contracts, the Clippers opted to invest in the 22-year-old with a four-year agreement following a steady progression throughout his college career.

Miller capped his collegiate career by averaging 13.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists across 31 games for Cincinnati during the 2025-26 season. He shot 52.9% from the field while logging 31.9 minutes per game, establishing himself as one of the nation’s most productive frontcourt players.

His offensive profile evolved considerably over four college seasons. After beginning his career at Florida State, where he averaged 4.3 points as a freshman, Miller increased his production to 7.6 points and 4.9 rebounds as a sophomore before transferring to Florida Atlantic. There, he posted 11.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists while improving his three-point accuracy to 34.2%.

Another transfer to Cincinnati produced his best statistical campaign. Miller developed into a double-double threat, finishing with career highs in points, rebounds and assists while converting 148 of his 280 field-goal attempts. Although he attempted fewer three-pointers than in previous seasons, his efficiency inside the arc and ability to facilitate offense from the forward position became defining strengths.

Across 113 collegiate games, Miller averaged 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 49.0% from the field. His versatility on both ends of the floor made him an intriguing developmental prospect entering the draft.

The signing continues an aggressive offseason for the Clippers after a 42-40 campaign that ended in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament. The franchise has dramatically reshaped its roster by trading franchise cornerstone Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, two second-round picks and a 2027 first-round swap. Though the trade is pending amid NBA investigation.

Los Angeles also used the fifth overall pick on guard Keaton Wagler before adding Miller, Nick Martinelli and Narcisse Ngoy later in the draft.
