Ducati Corse Off-Road's Antonio Cairoli should take a bow in the wake of a superb performance at round six of the 2025 Pro Motocross series, RedBud. Cairoli, who raced with a stock engine within his Desmo450, pulled a couple of brilliant starts, diced with the established machines and scored a ninth in a moto. There was an electrical issue in the second moto, but even that could not dampen spirits.
Cairoli was candid post-race about his performance, potential and what he learned about the Desmo450 on U.S. soil. In addition, he confirms that supercross testing is set to start and ponders the possibility of Ducati acquiring a championship contender for the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship. That is, of course, in reference to the persistent rumors that Tim Gajser could swap Honda red for Ducati red.
