The Bulls have exercised their $2.4 million team option on Leonard Miller for the 2026-27 season, keeping the young forward under contract for at least the start of the new league year.

Although the deal will temporarily become non-guaranteed, it is scheduled to become fully guaranteed on June 30. Miller earned the opportunity after finishing last season strongly following his midseason arrival in Chicago.

Over 27 games, including 12 starts, the 6-foot-10 forward averaged 11.7 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting an efficient 55 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range.

Chicago also exercised its $2.4 million team option on Mouhamadou Gueye. Unlike Miller’s contract, Gueye’s deal will remain non-guaranteed until the NBA’s league-wide guarantee deadline on January 7.

Gueye is not expected to remain with the Bulls, however.

He is reportedly part of the previously agreed-upon multi-team trade involving the Bulls, Nets, Hornets, and Timberwolves, with Minnesota set to receive the forward as part of the transaction’s salary-matching requirements.
