He also holds third in the SuperMotocross overall points, trailing only Haiden Deegan and Jo Shimoda. Throughout the season, many questioned why Marchbanks had not secured a deal with the Pro Circuit team for 2026. Now, it has been confirmed that Mitch Payton and the Pro Circuit squad have put those doubts to rest by re-signing Marchbanks with a contract extension.
Garrett grabbed his first third place overall finish at Washougal and has been in the top ten at every round this motocross season.
Mitch Payton said: “We’re very excited to have Garrett on for another year and look forward to seeing him continue to grow and build with the team. He’s really proven himself this year and has shown he has what it takes to be a top contender in the field. I’ve seen all the hard work he has been putting in every week to get better and stronger. This outdoor season, he has really broken through and shown a lot of people the capabilities we’ve always seen in him. He is a very determined rider and an easy-going spirit that we will continue to enjoy having on the team.”
Garrett is in his eigth year as a professional rider and has been building week in and week out. He has the potential to be a winner in the upcoming Supercross and motocross seasons.
After battling injuries, Garrett Marchbanks parted ways with Kawasaki in 2021 and made the move to ClubMX Yamaha, where he proved his dedication and willpower by consistently racing at the front. When news broke last year that he would be returning to Kawasaki following his success on Yamaha, many speculated how he would perform. Marchbanks has since silenced any doubts, showing both the determination and speed needed to compete at the highest level and run at the front of the class.
