AICHI, Japan — AVC President Ramon Suzara joined Asian sports leaders at the 110th Olympic Council of Asia Executive Board Meeting in Aichi, Japan, on Sept. 18, as preparations for major upcoming continental sporting events, including the 7th Asian Beach Games Cebu 2028, were discussed.

AVC President Suzara attended in his capacity as President and CEO of the Cebu 7th Asian Beach Games Organizing Committee 2028, representing the organizing committee as preparations continue for the Philippines’ hosting of the continental multi-sport event.

The Executive Board received key progress reports on upcoming OCA events, including preparations for Cebu 2028, providing an opportunity for organizers and Asian sports leaders to discuss developments and strengthen coordination ahead of future competitions.

During the meeting, AVC President Suzara also met with OCA President H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, OCA Director General Captain Husain Al-Musallam, and Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham Tolentino.

The discussions underscored continued collaboration among sports leaders and organizations as they work to strengthen the development and delivery of major sporting events across Asia.

For AVC President Suzara, the meeting also provided an important platform to advance coordination for Cebu 2028 as preparations continue toward welcoming athletes and delegations from across the continent to the Philippines.

The 7th Asian Beach Games will be staged in Cebu in 2028, placing the Philippines at the center of one of the OCA’s major continental multi-sport events.
