New Arsenal signing Eberechi Eze is unveiled to the fans before the match New Arsenal signing Eberechi Eze is unveiled to the fans before the match

Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign another "explosive" attacker after Eberechi Eze, with the deal now "in place", it has been revealed.

Arteta "delighted" with Eze signing

Earlier this week, it appeared as though Eze was heading to Tottenham Hotspur, but the Gunners orchestrated a stunning late hijack of their rivals' deal, with the attacking midfielder ultimately opting to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta has since admitted he was very pleased to get the deal over the line, given the former Crystal Palace man's versatility and Premier League experience.

Arteta said: "It shows how much we want to take this club to a different level. His talent is unquestionable. He’s experienced in this league. The personality is unbelievable.

"He can play different positions. We know he can play as an attacking midfielder, right or left. He doesn’t care. And you can tell that what happened on that pitch (before the game) meant the world to him so I am delighted to have him."

The north Londoners had been chasing a new winger throughout the summer, with the likes of Real Madrid's Rodrygo and AC Milan's Rafael Leao also being linked with moves, but it remains to be seen whether they press ahead with those deals after signing Eze.

Arsenal-Eze-1

After the England international's arrival, Arteta is very well-stocked in attacking areas, but David Ornstein has revealed Arsenal now have a deal in place to sign another forward, namely Shamrock Rovers' Victor Ozhianvuna.

Taking to X, Ornstein revealed the Gunners have now reached an agreement to sign Ozhianvuna, who is set to join for an Irish record fee once the deal is signed.

"Arsenal reach agreement for Shamrock Rovers 16yo Victor Ozhianvuna. Deal not signed but now in place + worth Ireland record fee. Shamrock Rovers midfielder to join AFC on pre-contract & arrive Jan 2027."

The 16-year-old is set to join on a pre-contract initially, before officially moving to the Emirates Stadium in January 2027.

"Explosive" Ozhianvuna is one for the future

While Max Dowman made his first Premier League appearance at just 15 against Leeds United on Saturday, the Shamrock youngster clearly isn't being brought in to make an immediate impact, but scout Ben Mattinson believes he has a lot of potential.

The young Irishman, who is capable of playing in attacking midfield and on both wings, has also been praised for his "explosive acceleration" by Mattinson, which helps him take players on down the line.

Ozhianvuna has already made 15 first-team appearances for Shamrock Rovers, which is an impressive feat at just 16-years-old, and indicates he could be an exciting long-term addition to Arteta's squad.
