Former two-division UFC champion has explained why a move to boxing is nearly impossible for him anytime soon.
Pereira signed a new eight-fight deal with the UFC earlier this year, and at the same time vacated the light heavyweight strap and moved up to heavyweight. The Brazilian made his 265-pound debut on June 14 at the White House against Ciryl Gane for the interim strap and was knocked out in the second round.

He recently said to Fred Talks Fighting:
“Well, we have seven fights left on my UFC contract. I’m 39. It’s kind of impossible.”

Alex Pereira takes on Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335
This past weekend, UFC CEO Dana White announced that Alex Pereira will be locking horns with knockout artist Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event of UFC 335 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 12. Despite being the co-main event, the bout will be a five-round heavyweight clash and could also be a potential title eliminator.
