The 2025 Red Bud National is here, and Haiden Deegan comes in with all the momentum after winning four out of the five races so far this year. However, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Haiden today; he went down in qualifying (click here to see the crash on our Instagram), and he qualified second behind GasGas Factory Racing’s Ryder Difrancesco this morning. Coming into Red Bud, Haiden Deegan had a 58-point lead, but it didn’t stay that way after a series of crashes in qualifying and in the first moto. See below for results from Red Bud.

Jo Shimoda goes 1-1 at Red Bud to take the overall win.
Jalek Swoll grabbed the holeshot with his Triumph teammate, Jordon Smith, in second early. Jo Shimoda was right behind Jalek around the first turn, but he got passed by Smith early. Tom Vialle tried to swing around the outside in turn number two, but Michael Mosiman closed the door and took Tom out, causing him to go all the way to dead last. Levi Kitchen made quick work to get into second, but then he crashed when he launched off the track in the turn after the finish and slid out. It was Swoll, Smith, Shimoda, Hammaker and Mosiman in the top five after Kitchen’s crash. Jordon Smith held second for a few laps, but he launched off the track and then got close-lined by the strings holding the blow-up monster can next to Lorocco’s Leap Haiden Deegan wasn’t up front on the start, but he caught up to Mosiman mid-way and went down in the sand corners before the finish, losing two spots.
Michael Mosiman passed Jalek Swoll and put pressure on Jo Shimoda, and then he made a mistake late in the race that allowed Jalek Swoll to get around him, taking second overall. In the end, Haiden Deegan made passes to get up to second in the moto, but he missed the podium overall.

Jo Shimoda scores the win in the first 250 Moto at Red Bud.
Jo Shimoda grabbed the holeshot with Nate Thrasher and Mikkel Haarup behind him, but it was Tom Vialle, who started about sixth, who quickly made his way into second, and then into the lead, passing the Honda rider out of Japan. Haiden Deegan had a bad start, but he sliced his way through to pack, up to around sixth place when he slid out and dropped back.
Seth Hammaker made his way up to third midway through the race, but then he dropped back when Levi Kitchen and Michael Mosiman slipped passed him. Michael Mosiman started around the 10 spot on the early laps and he made it up all the way to fourth place, holding off Deegan with five minutes to go. Then, late in the race, Haiden got cross-rutted and went down, and that’s when the wheels fell off the Deegan train. His bike was overheating, and he cruised it in to finish 14th.
