Isaiah Thomas has expressed interest in experiencing European basketball, and his comments have now drawn a playful response from Zalgiris Kaunas.

The former NBA All-Star recently said he would like to spend at least one season playing overseas after his NBA career, opening the possibility of a move to Europe.

Zalgiris quickly entered the conversation on social media, sending Thomas an invitation to experience one of European basketball’s most famous environments.

“What about coming courtside to Zalgirio Arena to experience the peak atmosphere of European basketball?” the club wrote.

The 5-foot-9 point guard played 12 NBA seasons, earning two All-Star selections and an All-NBA Second Team honor.

He averaged 17.5 points and 4.8 assists per game during his NBA career, with his peak coming for Boston in 2016-17, when he produced 28.9 points and 5.9 assists per game.
