The Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks had interest in signing Ben Simmons before he reached agreement on a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Sacramento Kings.

Simmons also received interest from the Knicks during the 2025 offseason.

Simmons has played in an NBA game since April 2025 when he was with the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Kings also had interest in Russell Westbrook and Victor Oladipo before settling on Simmons.
