We have you covered for all of tonight’s UFC Sacramento results, including the middleweight main event between Anthony Hernandez and Gregory Rodrigues.

Hernandez (15-3 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since suffering a third-round TKO loss to reigning middleweight champion Sean Strickland this past February. Prior to that setback, ‘Fluffy’ has strung together an impressive eight-fight winning streak, a stretch which included victories over Michel Pereira, Roman Dolidze and Brendan Allen.

Meanwhile, Gregory Rodrigues (19-6 MMA) will enter tonight’s headliner sporting a three-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming by way of knockout over Brunno Ferreira this past March at UFC 326. ‘Robocop’ has gone 4-1 over his past five Octagon appearances overall, with his lone loss in that stretch coming against Jared Cannonier.

Round one of the UFC Sacramento main event begins and Anthony Hernandez immediately forces the clinch and presses Gregory Rodrigues against the cage. He lands some short knees while maintaining control of his fresh opponent. ‘Fluffy’ drops for a single leg. ‘Robocop’ defends the shot and gets his back off the cage. A nice knee from Rodrigues forces some separation. Hernandez quickly closes the distance and once again initiates the clinch along the cage. Rodrigues is able to break free. He lands a nice jab and now aa shot to the body. Anthony Hernandez dives on a single leg. ‘Robocop’ defends and lands a big right hand. Now a 1-2 from Rodrigues. ‘Fluffy’ sticks out his tongue and then leaps in with a combination and forces the clinch. A nice elbow on the break by Hernandez. That appeared to cause a cut above the left eye of Gregory Rodrigues. ‘Fluffy’ continues to pressure. He shoots in again and forces ‘Robocop’ against the cage. Hernandez with an uppercut. The horn sounds to end the opening round.

Round two of the UFC Sacramento headliner begins and Anthony Hernandez charges forward and lands a big right hand. Now a 1-2. He pressures Gregroy Rodrigues against the cage. A good knee. ‘Robocop’ breaks free. He lands a pair of solid low kicks once back to range. Hernandez immediately gets back inside and forces the clinch. He’s looking for a takedown but can’t get it. Rodrigues drops Hernandez with a low kick. ‘Fluffy’ is back up but another heavy low kick drops him right back down. Big shots now from Gregory Rodrigues. He has the hometown favorite in all sorts of trouble. A big right hand from ‘Robocop’. He drops Anthony Hernandez with another low kick. This time Rodrigues follows him to the ground. He lands a pair of elbows from half guard. Over 75-seconds still remain in the round. Back to the feet and Rodrigues is hunting a finish. He lands a big left. A low kick sends ‘Fluffy’ to the canvas again. He gets up and charges Gregory with a flurry of shots. The crowd is going nuts. Another flurry before Hernandez drops for a takedown and gets it. The horn sounds. WOW!

Round three begins and Anthony Hernandez gets in on an early takedown attempt and completes it. He immediately motions to move for the back. He gets it and begins searching for a rear-naked choke opportunity. Rodrigues scrambles back to his feet. He eats a big right hand in the process. Hernandez’s left leg is jacked, but ‘Robocop’ seems like he’s out of gas. ‘Fluffy’ shoots for a takedown. He presses Rodrigues against the cage. ‘Robocop’ looks for a kimura but quickly gives up on that. A nice elbow from Hernandez. He allows some space, but Gregory fails to get off the fence. Hernandez almost scores a trip takedown, but Rodrigues somehow manages to stay up. ‘Fluffy’ with an uppercut and then another level change. Rodrigues with a pair of hooks. Anthony Hernandez dives right back in on a single leg. He gets a hold of an ankle but still can’t get ‘Robocop’ to the ground. Some short uppercuts from Hernandez. The horn sounds end we head to round four.

The fourth round of the UFC Sacramento headliner begins and Anthony Hernandez comes forward with a high knee. Gregory Rodrigues counters nicely with a big left hand. Now a body kick and then a body shot from ‘Robocop’. He seems to have found a second wind. Another big punch up the middle. Now a low kick and then another right hand. And another. ‘Fluffy’ dives for a single leg but it is not there. Gregory Rodrigues with another 2-punch combination and then a low kick. The crown chants ‘Fluffy’ and he answers by landing a 1-2. Both men are swinging wildly in the pocket. Rodrigues with a big right hook. Hernandez is rocked. A big 1-2 from ‘Robocop’. Now a low kick. Two minutes remain in the round. Anthony Hernandez is able to get inside and force his opponent against the cage. He needs a breather for sure. He drops for a double leg takedown, but Rodrigues stays up. ‘Fluffy’ drags ‘Robocop’ down to the floor, but they quickly dance back up together. Hernandez keeps Rodrigues pressed against the cage. He lands a trip takedown right before the horn.

The fifth and final round of the UFC Sacramento headliner begins and Anthony Hernandez quickly charges forward and forces Gregory Rodrigues back against the cage. He looks for a single leg takedown but can’t get it. This is not a good sign for ‘Fluffy’. ‘Robocop’ gets off the cage and lands a nice combination. He rips the body of Hernandez with a right hook. Somehow ‘Fluffy’ is able to get inside and once again for a clinch against the cage. He lands three nice elbows in a row before breaking back to distance. A nice knee to the body from Hernandez. Both men are wearing punishment on their faces. Rodrigues with a right hand. He presses forward with a flurry. The fighters trade blows. Hernandez looks for a takedown but can’t get it. He’s got 90-seconds to make something big happen. A pair of right hands from Hernandez. Rodrigues with a hard low kick and ‘Fluffy’ falls to the floor. ‘Robocop’ jumps on him with under a minute remaining in the fight. Gregory Rodrigues takes the back. Hernandez sweeps him in the last second. The horn sounds to end the fight.
