Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have been locked in negotiations over the summer for a potential blockbuster bust-up, but since location issues were highlighted, Fury threatened to move on to alternate opponents.

Now, the two-heavyweight world champion has announced that he is set to make a ‘monster offer’ to a former heavyweight ruler, who could take Joshua’s place.

When Fury and Joshua were victorious in July, it seemed as though an announcement for their long-awaited meeting was imminent. However, Eddie Hearn and Joshua are insistent that the fight takes place in the United Kingdom, while the financial backers want the bout staged in America.

As a result, ‘The Gypsy King’ is now beginning to flirt with other heavyweight rivals, insisting that he will be fighting in November regardless of whether Joshua agrees to be his opponent or not.

On his Instagram account, Fury announced that he and his team are on the verge of making a ‘monster offer’ to Oleksandr Usyk for a trilogy bout, hoping to finally get a win over the only man to have defeated him.

“Alex, I know that you said you are busy in November but I am about to sit down with my team and we are going to put a monster offer on the table, an offer that you can’t refuse, for November because that is what we do. We make s**t happen.”

“See you soon brother, three times! Come on, let’s go! Oleksandr Usyk – a real man, respect.”

Usyk has confirmed that his next outing will be his last and is currently expected to take on Deontay Wilder in New York in March 2027. Although, it remains to be seen whether a lucrative offer could cause the 39-year-old to u-turn on his retirement plans.
