Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley will rematch for the WBO heavyweight title next month, and fan-favourite Derek Chisora has made a fresh prediction for the contest.

Wardley and Dubois went toe-to-toe in Manchester back in May in a Fight of the Year candidate as Dubois bounced back from two early knockdowns to batter and eventually halt his fellow Briton and become a two-time world champion.

Despite taking notable damage in the scrap, Wardley was quick to activate his rematch clause and thrust himself into a shot at becoming a two-time heavyweight ruler himself.

Back in July, looking ahead to the rematch, Chisora admitted that he expects Dubois to get the job done sooner this time around and warned Wardley that he must completely change his game if he is to trouble ‘Triple D’.

“I think that this fight, the rematch, will end earlier than before. I love Fabio, to come from white collar boxing to come in the game and become heavyweight champion [is amazing], but he didn’t win it, to be honest – he got it passed down.

“When he boxed a fighter who was on game, he lost. I love Fabio but I don’t see him troubling Daniel right now, again.

“He has to completely change something in his game to trouble Daniel. If he doesn’t change anything, he is not going to trouble Daniel.”

Now, after their second fight was formally announced, Chisora told the Fight Your Corner Podcast that he predicts a similar outcome to the first affair.

“I don’t know why we are having a rematch, the fight will be the same. That nose is going to open up again.”

Dubois-Wardley II takes place on Saturday, October 17, at the O2 Arena in London.
