Tyrese Haliburton says his recovery is progressing well as he continues working his way back from the torn Achilles tendon that sidelined him for the entire 2025-26 season.

Speaking at his ProCamps basketball camp, the Pacers star also revealed he has fully recovered from a recent case of shingles and is finally feeling healthy again after a difficult year.

Haliburton explained that both his body and overall conditioning have improved significantly, allowing him to participate in basketball activities without restrictions.

He said being able to work with young campers without concerns from the Pacers’ medical staff has been especially rewarding after months of rehabilitation.

“I look back at videos of me and I can see how swollen my face is. I’m glad that’s beyond me and past me now. I feel great. My body feels great. I’m able to do everything. I feel like I’m operating like I’m a healthy NBA player for the first time in a long time, which is exciting.

“The fact that I’m able to come here without having to answer questions from anybody in our organization about my health, that I’m just able to jump in and do some things with the kids, that means the world to me. It’s something I don’t take for granted after the last 12 months.”

The All-NBA guard is expected to be fully cleared when Indiana opens training camp this fall.

Haliburton suffered the devastating right Achilles injury during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Thunder and spent all of last season focused on his recovery.
