Fenerbahce Istanbul has added shooting depth to its revamped roster by signing swingman Johnny Juzang for the 2026-27 season. The 25-year-old forward arrives after making his European debut with Zenit St. Petersburg, where he showed the perimeter scoring ability that has defined his career.

Juzang joined Zenit in February after beginning the 2025-26 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In 17 VTB United League games, he averaged 14.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 45.6% from three-point range.

Before moving to Europe, Juzang spent three seasons with the Utah Jazz after going undrafted in 2022. His strongest NBA season came in 2024-25, when he averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 64 games while shooting 37.6% from beyond the arc.

Juzang’s biggest value for Fenerbahce comes from his ability to create offense through shooting. The 2.01-meter wing is comfortable operating from multiple areas of the floor, including spot-up situations, movement shooting, handoffs and pull-up attempts. His quick release and ability to make contested jumpers give Fenerbahce another perimeter threat alongside its established scorers.

The addition comes as Fenerbahce continues reshaping its roster after a 24-14 EuroLeague regular season and Final Four appearance in 2025-26. The Turkish club finished fourth in the standings before defeating Zalgiris 3-1 in the playoffs and advancing to the Final Four, where it lost to Olympiacos 79-61 in the semifinals.

Fenerbahce has undergone significant roster changes this offseason. The club lost veterans Nando De Colo, Bonzie Colson, Mikael Jantunen, Devon Hall and Khem Birch, while adding Shane Larkin, Will Clyburn, Shavon Shields, Trent Forrest, Braxton Key, Ignas Sargiunas, Sertac Sanli and Marcus Bingham Jr.

Juzang joins a perimeter group that already features Talen Horton-Tucker and Wade Baldwin, who led Fenerbahce in scoring during the 2025-26 EuroLeague campaign. Horton-Tucker averaged 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists, while Baldwin posted 14.0 points and 5.5 assists per game.

The Los Angeles native developed his scoring reputation during his college career. After spending his freshman season at Kentucky, Juzang transferred to UCLA, where he became one of the Pac-12’s top scorers. He earned All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in 2021 and First Team recognition in 2022 after averaging 15.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists during his junior season.
