The updated PNW Loam Dropper V2 has been redesigned with additional sizes, lower stack height, and the same simple-to-service design PNW is known for. Get to know the new Loam Dropper V2 here…

Founded in 2015, PNW Components has had a busy and successful first decade of business. Aaron Kerson created the company after identifying a gap in the market for high-quality bicycle components at affordable prices, and their small team has remained committed to this mission. Today, PNW offers a wide selection of dropper posts, dropper levers, handlebars, stems, and pedals, all available at approachable price points.

PNW Loam Dropper v2

The original Loam Dropper was released in 2020, building on the Bachelor Dropper, the brand’s highest-end dropper post at the time. It promised a lower stack height, allowing for the lowest possible saddle, the same tool-free travel adjust system found on the Rainier Dropper, and they shaved around 40 grams off of the Bachelor in the process. I’ve logged thousands of miles on PNW dropper posts over the years and have yet to have a negative experience.

Just announced, the new Loam Dropper V2 has been redesigned to be PNW’s most reliable dropper post yet. It features a lower stack height, providing a lower saddle and more room to dial in the position of your dropper, and they’ve added 175mm and 225mm travel models to the standard 150, 175, and 200mm options. It is built up with a new sealed dual-chamber cartridge with a revamped travel adjust bushing and beefier brass keys that PNW says all work together to create a stronger, smoother, and longer-lasting system. The new cartridge has no air port, meaning you can’t adjust the air pressure of the post, and it is pre-charged straight from PNW.

The Loam is available in black or the previously limited-edition shiny silver alloy, thanks to an abrasion resistant, hard anodization process that ensures the silver posts carry the same scratch-resistant standards as their black posts. As always, customers can add a pop of color with a choice of PNW’s signature silicone midcap bands in Black Out Black, Safety Orange, Cement Grey, Fruit Snacks, Seafoam Teal, Really Red, Peanut Butter, or Moss Green.
