Just released, the new Race Face Era SL Wheels feature the brand’s lightest carbon rims yet, and they’re durable enough to fill the gap between XC and enduro. Dig into the details here…

The Race Face Era lineup, which debuted in 2022 with what Race Face called its strongest carbon crankset to date, has been gradually expanding to include bars, chainrings, and wheels. The Era collection is designed to offer XC weights with all-mountain durability, and every component is backed by a lifetime warranty, including damage resulting from crashes.

Early last year, Race Face introduced the Era Wheels to its collection as a versatile carbon wheelset option built around their Vault hubs. Building on these are the new Era SL Wheels. Designed with short-travel (120-140mm) mountain bikes in mind, the Era SL Wheels are said to be more durable than standard XC wheels but lighter than enduro-rated wheels. According to Race Face, the Era SL Wheels offer sufficient compliance to smooth out rough terrain, while also being light enough for racing.
