Detmers made his MLB debut in 2021, and his no-hitter came when he was still considered a rookie in 2022. He was a consistent part of the Angels starting rotation from 2022-24, but after struggling to the tune of a 6.70 ERA he was used out of the bullpen in 2025.
His season in 2026 has been up and down, with perhaps nothing encapsulating his boom-or-bust tendency than surrendering eight runs in a start against the Athletics before striking out 14 Rangers in his next outing.
