Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Nolan Arenado may have hit what looked like an inconsequential fifth-inning double in the D-Backs 5-2 loss to the Athletics on Monday.

But the 14-year MLB veteran crossed a major milestone with the knock, becoming the sixth active MLB player with 2,000 hits and the sixth all-time to reach 2K hits, 350 home runs and win 10 gold gloves.

On Tuesday, he contributed in a major way to their 6-5 extra-innings win with a game-tying single in the bottom of the 10th-inning to set up Ildemaro Vargas’ walk-off two batters later.

Arenado, 35, is having a decent first season in the desert, hitting .244 (up from .237 last season) with 44 RBI, while his 13 homers trail only Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll on the team. Despite sitting in second place in the National League West, they trail the Dodgers by 11 games and currently hold just a half-game lead over the Cardinals for the final N.L. Wild Card spot.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Arenado is one of 51 players in MLB history to record at least 40 home runs in three different seasons since the live-ball era began in 1920. How many of those players can you name in seven minutes?

Good luck!
