There are only two weeks to go in the regular season, but that hasn’t stopped teams from trying to get some of their top prospects a smidgen of playing time down the stretch. We’ve seen some notable Top 101 names promoted in the last week or so, but it’s tricky to write a full call up when the Immediate BIg League Future section can just be “brief.” So let’s do another round-up of the newest major-league names.

Emmanuel Rodriguez, OF, Minnesota Twins

Rodriguez will end up being one of the better prospects called up this September. He’s ranked as high as 17th for us, and has made the Top 50 three times. He’s struggled to stay on the field for a full season, and 2026 is no exception, as he played just 49 games in the minors around a thumb injury. While active, he did his usual extreme three-true-outcomes thing: homering, walking, or striking out in just over half his plate appearances. You don’t usually see this kind of profile in someone who can play a cromulent center field, however, and while his contact rates remain concerning—especially against velocity and spin—his combination of plus-plus power and plus-plus swing decisions might be enough to keep him employed as a plus regular for a long time. Just expect plenty of ups and downs along the way. He did hit that first up pretty quickly too. And yes, that TTO ratio is already a robust 38% in his two games in the bigs.
