The Phoenix Suns have officially waived guards Damion Baugh and Tyrese Samuel, according to the NBA transaction log. Neither player appeared in preseason games, and the moves come as Phoenix finalizes its roster for the 2025–26 season.
Baugh, who split time between the Charlotte Hornets and the G League last season, averaged 7.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 15 NBA appearances.
In the G League, he posted 12.5 points and 8.8 assists per game across 22 contests, showcasing his playmaking ability.
Samuel, added to provide frontcourt depth, impressed in the Canadian Elite Basketball League with the Vancouver Bandits, averaging 21.6 points and 10.9 rebounds. He also contributed 10.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in the G League last season.
Phoenix signed three free agents in September, including David Duke Jr., alongside Baugh and Samuel, aiming to improve bench depth and flexibility under first-year head coach Jordan Ott.
