Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway
I’ve been danglin’ my keys from my left side belt loop for close to two decades now. I’ve always carried a decent number of keys around with me, some might say an excessive amount. And I would agree. Sometimes, I even look at the amount of keys I carry and think to myself, “Jeez, that’s a ton of keys”. I try to weed them out, and always end up keeping most of them on my ring. They’re heavy, and the clip I’ve used thus far isn’t light either. I thought bringing the Spurcycle Key Clip in for a lil’ review would be a welcome change.

Keys by Your Side

For me, there is no better way to carry my keys than on my side. It keeps them close, frees up pocket space, and helps me avoid losing them. Quickly, let’s review the keys I carry daily. Maybe you guys could help me whittle them down a bit. I feel like a hoarder when I do it…
- My Jeep fob (which is stupidly large)
- My truck key
- My Kryptonite U-lock key
- The key for my RiG’d RambleSwing hitch pin lock
- The key for my Kuat hitch pin lock
- My backdoor key
- The key for my sliding back gate lock
- Laundry room key
- Post office box key
- The key for my shed and container lock
- The key for the hitch extender hitch pin lock
See, that’s a boatload o’ keys! Writing that list down made me realise that I need these keys on my ring. Yeah, it’s a lot, but they all need to be there, where I can get to them at any point. See, my conundrum?
The Dangle…Using the Key Clip
So far, the Spurcycle Key Clip has been a pleasure to use. The way the hook is shaped and the amount a spring tension on the gate make it easy to clip to my belt loop. Much easier than the hardware store clip I was using.
The Key Clip has a built-in bottle opener as well, which is super convenient. I have yet to use it, but I don’t anticipate it not working well.
The “Clip & Tuck”…The old hardware clip has worked fine for many, many years, but it was a tank on the side of my pants/shorts. The old clip seemed to weigh a lot, and after weighing them, I found the old clip (48g) to be over double the weight of the Spurcycle Key Clip (21g), which is exactly the weight that Spurcycle claims. So, that was a welcome change.
The Spurcycle Key Clip
My old clip. Pressing in the gate to remove the keys from my belt loop is easy and intuitive. It is remarkably easy to clip and unclip from my pants. My old clip sometimes took a little fumbling to get it on and off the loop.
In Conclusion
Look, I know that this is a pricey little bit o’ gear, and it may not be for some of you. Spurcycle is known for making some high-quality bells, the literal best in the business, in my opinion.
The fact that the Key Clip is made of titanium means that I don’t need to worry about rust, corrosion, or excessive daily wear and tear. I am very confident that I will enjoy this clip for many, many years to come.
Would I recommend it to you guys? Yeah, I would. It’s a USA-made, beautifully engineered, and machined piece of titanium that is sleek, light, and handsome. All of that and it’s only $60. Plus, when you purchase it, you are supporting a small business that is known for its quality products and excellent customer service.
