Reports from France have suggested Sunderland are exploring a move for the experienced Marseille midfielder, with claims the club are prepared to offer a salary package worth around £95,000 per week to tempt him to Wearside.

According to Algerian outlet Maghreb Foot, both Sunderland and Hull City are pushing hard to sign Titraoui this summer.

The report includes comments from an alleged source close to the player, who outlined the growing interest from England, but insists his future won't be resolved until after the World Cup.

Those comments will naturally encourage Sunderland supporters given the growing competition for the 'exceptional' midfielder's signature.

Recent reports have suggested Marseille are also monitoring Titraoui, while Leeds have been credited with concrete interest as they prepare for their second season back in the top flight.

Wolves were also named as suitors earlier this year, but their relegation to the Championship likely makes them outsiders in the race for Titraoui, especially given the player's stance on a Premier League move.

Titraoui's profile makes it easy to understand why clubs are taking notice.

A technically gifted central midfielder, he is capable of contributing in both defence and attack.

During his time at Paradou AC, he registered 12 goals and 13 assists in 86 appearances before earning his move to Belgium.
