Shaedon Sharpe is expected to be sidelined for approximately six months after suffering a torn meniscus in his knee.

The injury represents a significant setback for the Portland Trail Blazers, with Sharpe coming off a productive season in which he averaged 20.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 29.4 minutes across 50 games.

Sharpe recently committed his long-term future to Portland, signing a four-year, $90 million extension ahead of the 2025 regular season.

The deal keeps him under contract through 2030.

His absence will also affect what was expected to be a crowded Blazers backcourt and wing rotation featuring Ja Morant, Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday.
