Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Sean Dyche as their new head coach following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou after the club’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Dyche, a former Everton and Burnley manager will take charge of his first match on Thursday in their Europa League clash against Porto.

“Sean brings the perfect blend of character, tactical acumen and proven achievement to guide the club through its next chapter,” Forest said in a statement.

He has managed over 330 Premier League games, earning a reputation for resilience and set-piece strength.

The club added that Dyche’s local roots and understanding of Forest’s values made him the ideal choice to lead the team through the rest of the season.
