Ryan Garcia threatens to deny Devin Haney the rematch he wants unless Haney changes his tune about the controversial drug-testing fallout from their April 2024 fight.

Devin Haney and his father, Bill, have repeatedly brought up Garcia’s positive test for ostarine when discussing the fight online and across media outlets. Ryan now says that needs to stop, demanding Haney admit something went wrong with the testing situation before agreeing to a sequel.

“Until he admits that they f***** with my sh*t, or something there was going on, I’m never gonna fight him, I promise you,” Garcia told The Ring’s Mike Coppinger. “Unless he tells the truth, I won’t ever.”

Ryan has provided no evidence that his samples were tampered with. His majority-decision win was changed to a no-contest, and the New York State Athletic Commission suspended him for one year after he tested positive for ostarine.

None of that stops Garcia from treating the three knockdowns he scored against Haney as permanent ammunition.

“It’s gonna eat you forever because that iconic picture lives on,” Garcia said. “Whenever you talk sh*t, all I gotta do is post the picture of me standing over you. You gotta sit with that.”

Haney highlights the positive test and official no-contest whenever the first fight comes up. Ryan points to images of Haney hitting the canvas three times.

Garcia believes Haney needs a second fight to change those memories, giving him leverage over an opponent who has spent two years challenging the legitimacy of his performance.

His condition also requires Haney to abandon an argument he has pushed repeatedly since 2024. Haney believes Ryan is the one who owes him an apology, leaving little reason to think he would validate Garcia’s suspicions just to secure another fight.

Ryan faces Conor Benn on September 12 in Las Vegas. A win would make another Haney fight an obvious attraction, but Garcia insists the money isn’t enough.

He wants Haney to change the story he’s been telling since their first fight.
