The San Antonio Spurs big man Victor Wembanyama’s rapid rise is reportedly changing how front offices around the NBA evaluate Giannis Antetokounmpo’s long-term value, via Sam Amick of The Athletic.

According to league executives, Antetokounmpo is now seen as one of the few players physically capable of matching up with the Spurs superstar because of his size, athleticism, and defensive versatility.

“Yeah, Giannis is a matchup solution for Wemby,” one Western Conference executive said.

League sources added that organizations are already beginning to think about roster construction specifically through the lens of competing with Wembanyama in the future.

“Trust me, it’s on everybody’s mind,” one Eastern Conference executive said.
