UFC star Michael Page has said he wants to give fans a gift in his fight against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris.

Over the course of the last year or so, it’s become clear that Michael Page has been having some difficulties with the UFC. That’s been highlighted by his inability to get consistently matched against top guys, and on Saturday, he will attempt to overcome Nursulton Ruziboev as he moves towards the twilight of his time with the company.

Michael Page is one of the most eccentric fighters that the UFC has at its disposal but for whatever reason, they haven’t been able to utilize him in the way that many would have hoped when he first signed.

In a recent interview, however, Michael Page made it clear that he has big plans for his trip to France.

“I’m not trying to put any pressure on it because I’m happy with my career,” Page told MMA Junkie. “I want to do more, but I’m happy with what I’ve achieved, where I’ve come, how well I’ve done, the name I’ve created for myself. Demonstrating being a true martial artist in terms of I’ve done everything. I’ve done Bare Knuckle, I’ve done jiu-jitsu, MMA, kickboxing, and I’ll probably continue to do more things even if I don’t stay at the UFC, but I just feel like I have unfinished business which is why I want to stay, but it’s not all up to me.”

“Just the old MVP,” Page said. “I want to gift a moment that I’ve gifted many times in Bellator, I want to gift that moment to the UFC. Even if this is my last fight, I want to gift to the UFC, a moment in history that everyone is going to remember, a clip that everyone is going to keep playing over and over again just because it was that spectacular that people can say, ‘I was there at that fight,’ or they’ll remember exactly where they were when they were watching that fight. I want to gift that fight to the MMA fanbase around the world.”
