Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayMaxime Raynaud was a bright spot for the Sacramento Kings as a rookie. So much so, that Sacramento was planning a major rotation role for Raynaud this season. Now, those plans might be on hold.
Raynaud was helped off the court in a wheelchair during the first half of the Kings preseason game at the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. Following a collision of several players while Raynaud was setting a screen, the second-year center collapsed to the court and was spotted grabbing at his right knee. Replays showed that Raynaud took contact to the outside of his right knee and it bent awkwardly, forcing him to the floor.
Raynaud had X-rays done at the arena and was spotted leaving on crutches with a wrap around his knee. Team sources confirmed to ESPN that they feared the Stanford product would be lost for the foreseeable future. Further testing, including an MRI, were scheduled for later Saturday night.
