The Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks have held early trade discussions involving Dalton Knecht and Jericho Sims, according to Jake Fischer of The People's Insider.

Fischer adds that there is pessimism that an actual trade will happen between the two teams.

With the Lakers looking to get their roster down from 16 to 15 players, they could waive Knecht before Monday.

The Bucks are also exploring trades involving Caris LeVert and Kevin Porter Jr. ahead of Monday's deadline.

The Bucks are looking to keep Pete Nance on the roster.
