UFC lightweight Mateusz Rebecki finally managed to snap his three-fight losing skid at UFC Belgrade by dismantling Kyle Prepolec.

Rebecki started the bout on a high note, swinging wildly, hurting the Canadian fighter with a knee to the midsection and a couple of well-timed combinations, after which the Polish fighter scored a touchdown and pieced “Killshot” up from full mount with no-stop ground-and-pound.

With his legs laced and trapped against the fence, Prepolec had no chance of getting back to his feet. He absorbed a barrage of right hands from Mateusz Rebecki for the remainder of the round.

Prepolec looked gassed out and showed no signs of firing back, and it was just one-way traffic. Thus, the referee saved him from further punishment by stepping in and stopping the fight before the Round 1 bell could save the 36-year-old.

Official decision: Mateusz Rebecki defeated Kyle Prepolec by TKO in Round 1 (4:41) at UFC Belgrade.

After getting his hand raised, the 33-year-old Rebecki called out lightweight contender Benoit Saint-Denis, who was most recently submitted by Paddy Pimblett in Round 1 at UFC 329.
