The Orlando Magic are expected to hire Sean Sweeney as their next head coach, according to ESPN sources.

Sweeney, an associate coach with the San Antonio Spurs, is regarded as one of the leading candidates for a head coaching position.

After spending more than a decade in NBA bench roles, he now appears set to land his first head coaching job.

Since entering the NBA ranks as an assistant in 2011, Sweeney has worked on several staffs and steadily built his reputation as a respected assistant.
