MAAP designed and engineered the PRO Aero Jersey around three core principles: (1) uncompromised speed, (2) thermoregulation, and (3) comfort. Using innovative fabric technologies, feedback from pro riders at the highest level, and MAAP’s design expertise, the brand released its highest-performing jersey yet.
Now, MAAP has taken the same jersey the pros wear and made it available to all.
MAAP’s AARTERO Flyte Fabric

MAAP believes that at the heart of their new PRO Aero Jersey is its new proprietary AARTERO Flyte fabric. What seemed like endless testing resulted in a fabric that enabled racing to reach the highest level. This culminated with the likes of Ben O’Connor, Mavi García, Chris Harper, and Luke Plapp standing on the top step of WorldTour podiums.
Elite-level racing is a whole different beast that brings up different factors when considering product performance and design. The two most significant factors MAAP needed to address with their AARTERO Flyte fabric were the battle between drag and thermal regulation.

As the rider pushes faster, their heat load increases, as does their aerodynamic penalty. MAAP’s solution was the AARTERO Flyte, which significantly reduces drag while maintaining body temperature regulation. It took sixteen prototype iterations and hours of testing to find the exact yarn density, rib geometry, thermal efficiency, and fit mapping for the fabric.
The aero gains come from the AARTERO Flyte design 3D ribbed sleeve channels. These channels smooth airflow, delaying airflow separation across the arms and shoulders. It is this separation that commonly slows riders down.
MAAP’s testing showed that its AARTERO Flyte fabric saved six to eight watts over 100km, equalling a 60-second gain with no additional effort.

“You can feel how well it manages heat when you’re pushing hard – it keeps you cool without sacrificing any aero gains. It’s been a big step up for us this season. The team at MAAP did a great job of keeping our needs and feedback at the core of the product design,” Jayco AlUla rider Luke Plapp said.
The PRO Aero Jersey features an incredibly thin woven fabric matrix with the performance properties incorporated into the weave. This ensures that they cannot degrade over time, be washed out, or delaminate.
