Australian point guard Luke Paul announced his commitment to Duke for the 2027-28 season, he told ESPN.

"I want to get to the NBA and be a lottery pick, and I trust in their player development to get me there," Paul told ESPN.

Paul, a projected lottery pick for the 2028 NBA Draft, is currently playing for the Cairns Taipans as a member of NBL's Next Stars program.

Paul also had offers from USC, Auburn, Arkansas, Arizona State, Louisville, and Florida.

Paul is the third Australian to join Duke after Jack White and Tyrese Proctor.
