Kon Knueppel sustained a hamstring injuries during offseason on-court activity and will miss the start of the season. Knueppel will be reevaluated during the first week of the regular season.

Charlotte Hornets teammate Grant Williams suffered a right hamstring injury and will also be out for the entire preseason.

Knueppel averaged 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists across 81 games while shooting 47.5% from the field and 42.5% from three during his rookie season.

Knueppel finished as Rookie of the Year runner-up and earned First Team All-Rookie honors, along with four Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month awards. He became the first rookie in league history to lead the NBA in total three-pointers made in a season, finishing with 273.

Williams missed 13 months recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus before returning on Jan. 10. Across three seasons with Charlotte, he has averaged 10.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 81 total games.
