Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayJuan Soto will be in Philadelphia next week for the All-Star Game but said Friday he didn’t intend to participate in the Home Run Derby.
“No, I don’t think I’m going to make it,’’ said Soto, the only Met headed to Tuesday’s Midsummer Classic, after batting practice at Citi Field on Friday. “I’m good.”
Soto said last week he had “to check where my body’s at” before making a decision about the Derby, which he won in 2022 at Dodger Stadium while still with the Nationals.
After getting voted into the All-Star Game, Soto added last week he would factor in “how much I need to recover and be ready for the second half. We have got to think about every situation and we’ll go from there.”
