New York Knicks forward Jeremy Sochan recently shared his thoughts on the challenge of defending Victor Wembanyama, suggesting that opponents should focus on making the French star work as hard as possible throughout the game.
According to Sochan, Wembanyama’s size can become a factor over the course of a matchup, particularly if teams consistently force him to move and adjust defensively.
“Being that tall he gets tired… Give him different looks and (not beat him up but) be very physical, and make him run.”
Sochan believes that constant physicality and varying defensive approaches can wear Wembanyama down over time, potentially limiting his effectiveness during certain stretches.
“And he’s gonna get tired, he’s gonna have to take some plays off in my opinion.”
