Positioned at point, Bosch had only a fraction of a second to react. Displaying superhuman reflexes, Bosch launched himself entirely to his right. Airborne and at maximum extension, he stuck out his right hand to intercept the rocketed shot. He plucked the ball cleanly out of thin air, securely maintaining possession as his body crashed heavily onto the turf.

Powell stood frozen in absolute disbelief at the edge of the crease. The on-field umpires referred the play upstairs to verify the validity of the catch. Replays confirmed that Bosch had kept his fingers underneath the leather, forcing the third umpire to uphold a clean dismissal. Powell departed after a vital, 30-ball 40, which included four fours and two massive sixes. KKR keep their IPL 2026 Playoffs alive after an emphatic win over MI

Hardik Pandya offered brief resistance with 26 runs, but it was an unbeaten cameo from Bosch (32 off 18 balls) that pushed MI to a respectable total.

Chasing 148 for survival, KKR faced early turbulence, losing opener Finn Allen in the very first over to Deepak Chahar. Despite Bosch returning with the ball to cause problems, picking up highly economical figures of 3/30, KKR found their saviour in veteran batsman Pandey.

Pandey played a masterful, structured innings under immense pressure. Scoring 45 off 33 balls, including seven elegant boundaries, he stabilized the innings alongside Powell. Following Powell’s dismissal to Bosch’s spectacular catch, explosive finisher Rinku Singh stepped up to calm the nerves. Rinku played a brisk, unbeaten cameo of 9 runs from just 5 deliveries, guiding KKR home safely to 148/6 in 18.5 overs.
