Missing the event is a major disappointment for Branch. The rally in Morocco is one of his favorite events of the year, and the Botswanan rally rider was very much looking forward to competing.

However, things went wrong during a training session when Branch crashed and sustained an injury. He did not provide any further details about the exact nature of the injury.

“This is unfortunately not the news I had hoped to share, especially so close to my favorite event of the year,” Branch said. “I crashed during training and injured myself. Unfortunately, I am not fit enough to ride in Morocco.”

The Hero MotoSports rider has now started his rehabilitation. At the same time, he emphasized that the team has been working hard on further developing the bike in recent months.

“I’m getting better and we have already started the rehabilitation process to get back to full fitness. I’m looking forward to returning in 2027. I wish the entire Hero MotoSports team the very best of luck. The guys have worked incredibly hard and made a lot of developments to the bike.”

Branch concluded his message by thanking his team and supporters. His full focus is now on his recovery and making a strong return in 2027.
