Daniel is an experienced football writer and editor, having worked in the football media industry for over a decade. 

After voluntarily writing for Fresh Press for two years, helping to build and establish the Read brand, Daniel started a part-time job with Fresh Press that later turned into a full-time writing and editing role, writing for club-specific pages such as Read Norwich, Read Celtic, Read Liverpool, and Read Arsenal.

Daniel is a Norwich City fan and season ticket holder. He has been heard on BBC Norfolk and helped DAZN with research for their commentary due to his knowledge of the club, along with being featured in several local papers across the country, including the Coventry Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo, for Norwich-related content. 

Daniel's knowledge extends to Scottish football, having covered Celtic and Rangers for several years. He particularly enjoys producing player analysis and producing transfer content.

The Wales international has agreed terms on a five-year contract to make the switch to West Yorkshire after his contract with Fulham expired at the start of this month.

Meanwhile, the West Yorkshire outfit are pursuing a move for a star who would arrive at Elland Road as an even bigger coup than the former Fulham man.

According to MOT Leeds News, Leeds United are interested in a deal to sign Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki in the summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Whites are leading the race to land the Japan international, who has been linked with Manchester United and Aston Villa this summer.

It adds that the player is keen on making the move and would be 'very happy' to sign for Farke's side, which suggests that personal terms would not be much of a problem.

MOT Leeds News reveals, though, that it could cost a fee of over £25m to strike an agreement with Parma for his services, and it remains to be seen whether or not the 49ers are prepared to pay that much for the shot-stopper.

How Zion Suzuki can be a bigger Leeds coup than Harry Wilson

The Whites can secure an even bigger coup than their deal to bring in Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham if they can bring Suzuki in from Parma in the coming weeks.

As aforementioned, it remains to be seen if the Welshman's form will carry over to next season and he turns 30 in March next year, which means that he may not be a long-term addition for the club.

Suzuki, on the other hand, only turns 24 next month and would arrive at Elland Road this summer as a player with the majority of his career left ahead of him and time to develop and improve.

In the Serie A last season, the 23-year-old star caught the eye with his performances between the sticks as both a shot-stopper and an all-round goalkeeper when it came to commanding his area.

The fact that he ranked in the top 12% of goalkeepers in the league for high claims per 90 is particularly eye-catching, as Karl Darlow averaged 0.77 per 90 and ranked in the bottom 48% of 'keepers in the Premier League.

Suzuki, therefore, could be a more commanding presence in goal for Leeds than their current number one, taking the pressure off his defence by coming off his line to claim crosses.

He would also arrive as a bigger coup than Wilson because he is coming off the back of an impressive tournament at the World Cup with Japan, saving 71% of the shots against him across four games before losing to Brazil in the round of 32.

Suzuki showcased his quality on the world stage in front of millions of onlooking fans and scouts, which is why signing him after his performances for Japan would be a big coup for Leeds.

Therefore, the Whites could take their summer transfer window to the next level by striking a deal with Parma for the Japan international after they sign Wilson on a free transfer.
