The Charlotte Hornets have officially signed center Jonas Aidoo, adding a promising young presence to their roster ahead of the 2025–26 NBA season. Aidoo, 22, played four seasons in college basketball, including his final year at Arkansas.
Aidoo began his collegiate career at Tennessee, where he gradually increased his playing time and production, finishing with a career average of 7.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per game.
His most productive season came in 2023–24, posting 11.4 points and 7.3 rebounds while starting all 36 games for the Volunteers.
Standing 6-foot-10, Aidoo is known for his rim protection, rebounding, and ability to finish around the basket. During his senior year at Arkansas, he contributed 6.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while maintaining a field-goal percentage of 57.0%.
Aidoo’s development at Tennessee and Arkansas included growth as a pick-and-roll defender and a presence in the paint.
